Smells mean a lot to us then we may notice, good smells attract while bad smells repel. Our in many cases our nose is our most relied and trusted allay, giving us feedback about what is good and what is not good for us. Do you wish the world could be just a little bit nicer? The world is a beautiful place; there are sweet smelling roses, sun worshipping sunflowers and you who are wearing a fragrance that is just irresistible. Sounds like a dream? Well it isn't with the types of scents available today; compared to you the scent of a rose will be pale. However your aim shouldn't be to wear the strongest fragrance available but to wear the fragrance that suits your body and style. There are fragrances and perfumes and colognes for your body, which are great for taking some good smelling stuff with you on the go- but doesn't it help you even more to feel beautiful if you are surrounded by a nice smelling environment? You're certainly not going to feel good if you're in a house that stinks and if you don't feel good you can't feel beautiful!


So why not start with your environment and use it to help you with your beauty routine? If you find a body spray or perfume that you really enjoy the aroma of, why not use it around the house as well? You don't want to go overboard, but a spritz on the curtains or under the couch cushins can really give your house a pleasurable scent for several days. You can also find similar or complimentary scents in other products to provide some aromatherapy options around the house. Fragrances and aromas really help people feel good- if they are pleasurable scents. When you find one that you really enjoy, whether it be vanilla, floral, earthy or otherwise, you should use it often and enjoy the effects that a pleasant aroma has on the overall well being of your mind and body. Depending on the mood you are going for, you can even help alter your state of mind based on the scents you fill your home and spray on your body! Aromatherapy is more than just smelling good. Many say that physical beauty is not as important as the beauty from within. Although this is true, this does not mean that you do not have to take care of your physical appearance. You have to realize that how you look plays an important role to you as a person. We keep on telling people to stop judging the book by its cover. Looking good is to know how to take care of yourself. It also means enhancing what you have. There are many available devices to help you experiment with your looks. Enhancing your beauty is not that difficult as well. There are make-ups available to match your skin and eye color. There are also dresses that are flattering for your figure. Although these devices help in achieving the look you want, it will not change how you feel about who you are. When you have a makeover, you have to leave the negative thoughts as well. Why is it that a vintage womens red velvet hat can make women very sexy? Is it because of things in the past? I don't know except it just does. Hats add a slight mystery to the women who wears them today. Though a red retro hat is very seldom worn today as an accessory, they can still add to a woman's sex appeal. Young women today are missing out on a choice to look even better. It seems that the young women of today culture have no interest in dressing up. To them dressing up is putting on a clean pair of jeans with or without holes as long as it is clean. The closest they come to wearing a hat is an old baseball cap. Our young woman at the counter of our dry cleaners always wore a vintage hat, nothing fancy but it was just cool. She was attractive and I think the hat added to it. Some of the old hats were huge and I mean huge. They were so large that they would be floppy hats because of the weight would cause them to fall down. A woman could take the rim of the hat and cover her face with only her eyes showing. With a twinkle in her eyes, she could give you the come hither look. You just don't see that today.



If you read your history, you know the flapper hat was very much part of dressing up during the roaring 20's. A woman wouldn't leave her home without wearing her black flapper hat. The man was always seen with his fedora. Mens fedora hats are still popular even today. Remember the pill box hat? What about the Charleston hat? You couldn't go dancing without dressing up in your fancy dress and put on your Victorian hat just made to do the Charleston. Lots of beads on the dresses as well on your velvet epaulet hat. Maybe you added a few feathers which were always a great finishing touch to your ensemble. As the time changes, so did the hat styles. In the 60's some women turned to Retro Gray Woven Fedora hats. The fedora has light appearance. It provides an accessory but it doesn't overwhelm the overall look that the young woman has put together. It adds to touch of sophistication. Fedora come in all kinds of colors as well as velvet, straw, and heavy cloth. A fedora can be shaped to exhibit the personality of the woman who is wearing it. If I sound like I am missing some of the styles of yesterday, I guess I am. It seems quite strange that an aging baby boomer would like to see women wear more attractive hats. Maybe it is because that today's dress many times doesn't leave a lot to the imagination and a return to years of some modesty adds an element of mystery to the woman sex appeal. Is she trying to tell me something with the hat? Is it saying she is available. I guess we will never know since a baseball cap pretty much tells me, I didn't have time to fix my hair or it is dirty so I am covering it up with a cap.
