Modest is Hottest, Ladies. "I find the whole concept of being ‘sexy’ embarrassing and confusing. If I do an interview with photographs people desperately want to change me - dye my hair blonder, pluck my eyebrows, give me a fringe. Then there’s the choice of clothes. I know everyone wants a picture of me in a mini-skirt. But that’s not me. I feel uncomfortable. I’d never go out in a mini-skirt. It’s nothing to do with protecting the Hermione image. I wouldn’t do that. Personally, I don’t actually think it’s even that sexy. What’s sexy about saying, ‘I’m here with my boobs out and a short skirt, have a look at everything I’ve got?’ My idea of sexy is that less is more. "The less you reveal the more people can wonder." - Emma Watson

I agree Emma :)
What about you girls?

Fashion Tips: Express Yourself With Colors

Credit: Luciano Munhoz
by: Rick Valens Feeling troubled over what color to wear? What color makes you look good? Well, fashion is all about yourself. What you choose to wear every morning tells a lot about you and how you felt that day. Even your little handbag carries a little story. Mixing and matching is a personal choice, you create your very own style! Well, let’s get to understand and have fun with colors White A popular color in Fashion. Light and neutral, it goes well with any color. Considered a summer color, a good choice for tops. Always have some in your wardrobe. It readily matches bottoms of any color; a pair of blue denim jeans, Khakis pants, a gray skirt, a bright colorful beach bermudas? You name it! Associated with cleanliness and purity, innocence and gentleness…, it gives you a feeling of freedom and uncluttered openness. Women just always look that lovely in their snowy white wedding gown, don’t they?

Tips: add a little touch of white to brighten or lighten up your mood Eg. a white tank top with blue denim jean, white cotton jacket over a hot pink velour smocked baby doll dress or a simply all white for a simple breezy look Black A popular color in Fashion, always stylish and never out of trend A good choice for bottoms. Directly opposite of white, it readily matches tops of any colors. Nonetheless, it is also a popular choice for tops, making the wearer appearing slimmer. A great complementary color for accessories like a pink sparkling evening bag, a diamond necklace… A mysterious color, it gives you a feeling of perspective and depth. Symbolizing elegance and refinement, it is always regarded as a prestigious color.

Tips: pair up black with other dark colors for an attractive mature look Eg. a brown wool button front cardigan with black pinstripe bootcut pants, gray tweed cropped blazer with black stretch pintuck pencil skirt
Red An expressive color extensively use in Fashion. Most visible and lively of all colors, it creates attraction and excitement. The wearer naturally portraits an image of excitable, energetic, enthusiasm and confidence. Nonetheless, it also suggests an erotic feeling, a lady in red? A physically inspiring color often associated with vitality and ambition, love & passion.

Tips: pair up red with colors within the red family itself for various moods Eg. a red retro style tee with maroon pleated skirt, hot pink cotton v-neck tank with red fleece collegiate mini skirt Yellow A color commonly use in Casual Fashion. Similar to red, it creates attraction and excitement. However it suggests a more fun and sunshine mood. The wearer tends to bring about amusing cheeriness to the group. Usually liked by those who embrace changes. The color of sunshine, often associated with joy, liveliness and optimism.

Tips: pair up yellow with dark or lucid cool colors for a striking youthful look Eg. a yellow ruched halter top with black wool full skirt, yellow roll edge t-shirt with turquoise polka dot tiered mini skirt Blue A popular color liked by most Emotionally opposite of red & yellow, it brings about a very soothing & relaxing feel, pleasant to the eyes. Naturally refreshing in mood, it’s a good choice for daytime wear. The color of summer skies and the sea, often associated with calmness, affection, idealism and inspiration.

Tips: match blue with white for a refreshing and sporty look Eg. a bright blue cotton v-neck hoodie with white stretch cotton studded pants, white terry track jacket with pale blue faded jean Pink A feminine color for girls Similar to blue, it’s soothing and pleasant to the eyes. Naturally sweet in mood, it has a lasting girly appeal. Girls in pink tend to portrait a very sweet & pleasant image, always attractive to the guys. The color of cotton candy, often associated with warm, everlasting affection & tender love.

Tips: add a little pink to bring out the feminine touch Eg matching your black satin strapless sash dress with a neon pink nylon 'Tessuto Sport' baguette, pink collar tee with black stretched cotton cropped pant Well, there are simply too many colors if I were to go on. I believe you should now have a feel of how matching of colors can be of so much fun? In simple, just play by the color rules:
  1. Stick to one color (all white, blue, red…)
  2. Hot goes with cool (match yellow with green or blue not with red )
  3. Use neutral colors to draw the looks together (white, gray, beige and black are good neutral colors)
  4. Play around with color of the same family (pink with maroon, sky blue with navy blue…)
Remember, you create your very own style. Have fun!

Tattoos for Women - A New Fashion Accessory?

Tattoos for Women - A New Fashion Accessory - Angelina Jolie TattoosThe popularity of tattoos among women is growing at an unprecedented rate. Over the past ten years, the number of women lining up at doors of tattoo studios has rocketed. Tattoos are now a mainstream fashion accessory for women, occupying the same category as shoes and handbags. However, tattoos haven't always been popular among women. Fifty years ago, tattoos were almost the exclusive preserve of men. Only ten percent of tattoos belonged to women. And as recently as the 1980's there was a general belief in society that a women who got tattooed was either a criminal, a lesbian or a whore. These days, things are completely different. The traditional stereotypes and stigmas that surrounded tattoos have been swept away and women have the confidence to wear their tattoos with pride. Women are now responsible for 65% of all tattoos. In fact the market for female tattoos has grown so rapidly that as many as one in four women in the US have a tattoo. But apart from the change in the number of women who are getting tattooed, the female tattoo market has undergone a couple of significant changes.

1) Tattoo Placement Previously, women who wanted a tattoo felt the need to position them on a part of their body where they could be kept well hidden. But these days’ women are proud of their tattoo designs and as such are placing them in more visible areas. The stomach and lower back are two of the most popular areas for tattoo placement. This suggests that women want to have the choice of whether or not to display their designs. It also indicates that most women now have the confidence to select a more sexual placement of their tattoo designs. Other popular locations for female tattoos include ankles and the front of the hips.
Tattoos for Women - A New Fashion Accessory - Angelina Jolie Tattoos 2) Tattoo Designs The type of tattoo designs that women want have also changed. In the past, the few women who got a tattoo opted for something small, discreet and well hidden, such as a name, a small flower or a cute design. Today, the tattoo designs chosen by women are generally larger and much bolder. Increasingly, women are willing to experiment with the size and style of tattoos. The most popular designs now include shooting stars, fairies, butterflies and unicorn. Larger tribal and celtic designs placed on the lower back are also incredibly popular. But beyond that, many women now have the confidence to seek out custom tattoo designs that will be unique to them. They're more style conscious than men, so they're no longer happy strolling into the tattoo studio, taking a quick glance through the catalog and becoming another one of the thousands who already wear the same design. Instead, women tend to take their time when searching for their perfect tattoo. They're more likely to select a custom design, but only after sample consideration of how it will look and make them feel. This allows them to leave the tattoo studio with a design that they can wear with confidence and pride.

Fashion Tips - Best Style Tips

BEST STYLE TIPS

Dress for Your Figure
Look in the mirror and make an honest assessment of your body. Embrace your shape and who you are. Know your assets - whether it's well-sculpted arms, a swanlike neck, or wasp waist - and dress to enhance those features.

If You Are Full-Figured
Choose close-to-the-body cuts. Look for tailored pieces like fitted button-ups, straight skirts and trousers, and wrap dresses that skim the body and give the waist definition. Keep it streamlined. Big prints aren't best, so go monochromatic to create the slimmest line. Rich red is always striking; ditto lush jewel tones.

If You Are Boyish
Enhance your figure. To transform your physique into a more curvy shape, accentuate your middle and create the illusion of a fuller bust and hips. That means always define the waist, whether it's a dress that cinches, a top with a drop waist, or a gown with a distinct Empire line. V-necks emphasize cleavage.

If You Are Curvy
Wear form-fitting dresses that nip in at the waist, hug the hips, fall loosely over the thighs and calves. Reveal decolletage. Select a top that frames your neckline. It will draw attention to your upper body, keeping the rest understated.

If You Are Petite
Black opaque tights and equally dark shoes tone down the glitz factor of the season's metallic fabrics and give the legs a longer look.

Day to Night
Always have a pair of sexy heels on hand. Whether strappy or glitzy they can instantly give any look a dressier feel. The same goes for a clutch. Stash it in your day bag and pull it out at night.

Wrap It Up
A wrap dress looks great on all shapes and sizes. Soft jersey fabrics can work for all body types. Twist, wrap and maneuver the material any way you like to mask your least favorite parts and highlight the areas you like.

Evening Wear
Forget simple shifts. Stand out from the pack of black with something sweet and playful. Or try a tux, but swap the trousers for superslim pants or jeans. Have fun.

How to Wear a Minidress
If you've got the gams, an above-the-knee number is sweet and sexy. Don't go tight and short, however. A fuller cut will keep it refined.

Must-Have Accessories
A thick bracelet in gold, silver, or enamel is a timeless accent and works day or night. Give your evening style a glam punch with a big-stoned cocktail ring. Try bold, colorful stones for added effect.

The Best Bags
Recognize when it's time to buy a new bag, even if you are attached. Holes, tears, frayed stitching, and worn leather means your bag needs to be retired.

Freshen Up Basics
Been wearing a basic button-up under your suit every day? Swap it for a bright blouse, something with loads of ruffles cascading down the front, or a piece with a bold print and it'll instantly add life to that old suit.

Try Something New
Be open to experimenting with new silhouettes. Pieces you've always shunned could end up being the most flattering.

Top 10 Wardrobe Essentials
1. Trousers; 2. blazers; 3. pencil skirts; 4. white button-ups; 5. silk blouses; 6. simple cardigans; 7. dresses (shirt, shift, or sheath); 8. pumps; 9. structured bag; 10. belts.

Define the Waist
The waist doesn't have to be smack in the middle. A drop waist elongates your torso, while an Empire gives you a leggier look.

Big Belts
Cinching your waist over your suit jacket not only instantly gives your suit a new look, it introduces a sleek and flattering line. Go for a belt that matches for a conservative approach or add spirit with one in a contrasting hue.

How to Wear a Day Dress
If choosing a dress with volume, make sure it's balanced. A bubble-skirted frock, for example, should have a slim top, while a pouf-sleeved piece should be narrower on the bottom.

Time-Saving Shopping Tips
Keep your credit card on file at trusted stores, and avoid the wait at the register. Build a relationship with an insider who will pull pieces, hold hot items, or put your name on the waitlist and call you. Take care of those who take care of you. Thank-you notes, holiday gifts, and appreciation go a long way.

Freshen Up Basics
At least one piece in your outfit should have lots of personality. The key is to mix it up. Be unpredictable and pair up unlikely mates. Don't forget to have a ball with accessories and add quirky accents.

The Black Suit
A black suit is always flattering. First of all, it's black, the ever-appealing, hide-everything hue. Second, it's sturdy. A well-cut, properly fitted jacket retains its shape, doesn't stretch or squeeze, and covers common problem areas like arms, stomach, hips, and bottom.

Office Elegance
A certain level of refinement should be maintained: 1. Never show your midriff. 2. Avoid showing too much cleavage (and keep straps under wraps). 3. Keep hemlines in check -- and don't go too tight. 4. Save flip-flops for the beach. 5. And don't get too wacky. Express your personal style, but you don't want to seem too eccentric.

The Little Black Dress
Think of your LBD as a blank canvas that you can decorate based on your age, frame of mind, or event. Give it a personal touch - a funky brooch, a colorful scarf, a big necklace - to make it uniquely you.

Timeless & Tailored
The traditional two-piece suit is the standard. In a well-cut jacket with matching pants or a skirt, you know you'll always look smart.

How to Wear Straight Jeans
Pick a pair in a crisp, dark wash and this cut can look grown-up and polished will take you almost anywhere.

The Tuxedo
The right two-piece ensemble can be just as sexy as any frock. Wearing a lacy bra that peeks out from under the jacket is coy and sultry; a high-neck, ruffle-front blouse gives the look a retro spin; and swapping the conventional tuxedo pants for a superskinny leather or denim pair lends a fashion-forward flair.

How to Wear Heels
The higher the hemline, the lower the heel. Wear minidresses with flats when going for a more casual look.

How to Wear High-Waisted Jeans
Jeans that actually go up to your natural waist are a sophisticated option. They look best with a slim top and a higher heel.

Night Brights
When everyone else at the party is donned in dark shades, be the one who stands out. When going for a bold hue, however, it doesn't have to be blindingly bright. Rich jewel tones like emerald, garnet, and sapphire are sophisticated and elegant. Remember, solids look best when going for big color in the evening.

Tees: Long & Loose
When wearing something cropped like a little vest or jacket, pair it with a draping tee that hits below the hip.
